Statistical Power (Evidence Rating Element)

The ability of a statistical test to detect meaningful program effects. It is a function of several factors, including: 1) the size of the sample; 2) the magnitude of the expected effect; and 3) the type of statistical test used. Statistical power is an element within Sample Size on the Scoring Instrument. See Program Review and Rating from Start to Finish for more information.
