Diffusion (Evidence Rating Element)

Occurs when the effects or benefits of a program extend beyond the places, individuals, problems, or behaviors directly or indirectly targeted. This element is reviewed along with anticipatory benefits and displacement on the Scoring Instrument. These elements are often considered in evaluations of community-level crime prevention efforts. See Program Review and Rating from Start to Finish for more information.
